Staff were lovely, very helpful and keen to please. We had booked 2 x rooms and were given them at the rear of the hotel with no noise. Close enough to, but also far enough from, the melee of the centre Breakfast was plentiful.

Location was excellent - close to train station and an easy walk into Piazza Bra. We were offered an apartment in the neighbouring building which was larger than the standard room (however didn't see the standard room so can't compare). Breakfast was very good and served in the Secret Garden space.

Beautiful, picturesque hotel in peaceful area. A bit far from historic centre, but easily reachable by foot. I travelled alone so my hotel room was small, but I didn't need more space. Bathroom was recently renovated, beautiful red tile wall left visible. Basic breakfast but it was served in romantic secret garden. If you want your stay to be in memorable place, book this!

We booked a secret garden room with direct access to the courtyard and breakfast area. The lower room was large and well-equipped with a sofa, TV, fridge and kettle - with the bed on a mezzanine level. The bathroom was large as was the shower recess, with plenty of hot water. Breakfast included typical sweet and savoury selections plus boiled eggs. Coffee was to order. The hotel is an easy walk from the station, and to the major tourist sites and shopping areas. There are plenty of cafes and restaurants nearby. The staff were bright and cheerful. Would be happy to stay again.

Staff were excellent . We had a small issue with one room but it was rectified immediately. Breakfast was excellent for a 2 star property. Although room was very dated , the shower was good and the aircon was great. Nice touch to have a fresh water everyday in the room.

Location, breakfast, staff all excellent. We were upgraded to the apartment as we were staying 4 nights. Hotel was full of character and a pleasure staying there. Central to the city which was easy to get around on foot.

Breakfast was good and plenty of it. Room was a little on the small side. Location was ok. A little way away from the centre. Interesting building and history (most excellent pictures/paintings throughout)

We loved everything about the hotel. the location was perfect, the customer service excellent. The breakfast was tasty and plentiful. The hotel was also nice and quiet. We would love to come again. Our honeymoon was well taken care of.

Very nice once I found it (as it is quite discretely signed on the outside). Has a very "boutique" feel. Helpful staff, main town and sights a short walk down the hill. Good breakfast. Car parking available to be booked.
